| I would do it (60k) anyway. Better to spend $500 on parts (or if you pay someone to do it $1000) and be on the safe side, rather than risk bending valves due to a worn tensioner/idler pulleys, or broken t-belt. By looking "just" at the timing belt (you can get the driver side one off without a lot of work if you absolutely want to) you really cannot tell. My "new OEM timing belt" looked like the one I took off (a long time ago) in less than 1000 miles (the fact that the lettering on it was faded looking, etc..etc..) If it can't be proven that it's been done, then do it anyway.
